A symbolic ceremony to begin the Divine Word Faculty Block for Departments of Agriculture for Social Change, Biochemistry as well as Food and Nutrition was held in ReCAS on 14th February 2018.
The facility aims at providing an efficient research, teaching and learning environment for the staff and students of the College. They faculty block upon completion, will contribute to positioning the College's role in responding to the ever expanding research and training needs of the country. In addition to the department for Agriculture for Social Change, the faculty block will serve other academic department, namely, that of Biochemistry as well as Food and Nutrition. A medical laboratory will also be included in the usage concept of the building. They president thanked all donors of Stiftung Regentropfen - Bildung zum Leben, the German Partner of Regentropfen Education Foundation and Regentropfen College of Applied Sciences for the laudable gesture in providing financial support to bring this project to reality. He emphasized that the design of the project incorporates the needs of physically challenged aimed at ensuring that the core values of ReCAS which include equity are attained.
The symbolic ceremony took place at the main campus of Regentropfen College of Applied Science on the 14th February, 2018 in Kansoe (opposite Namoo Primary A). Even though the resources for the construction of the block are not available, Fr. Moses Asaah Awinongya said that the construction will begin just as it was done with Trinity Library and St. Joseph Faculty Block. "We trust in God's providence. He will touch the hearts of donors in Ghana and abroad to help us complete this project within a year".
The ceremony was attended by staff and students of ReCAS at the end of an Academic Board Meeting.
