Regentropfen College of Applied Sciences, (ReCas) officially welcomed 34 new students into the institution at its 2nd matriculation ceremony held on 24th March 2018.
The students are admitted to pursue two year diploma and four year degrees programs in Computer Science, Accounting, Basic Education, Business Administration and Agriculture for Social Change.
After delivery of the welcome address, a speeh from the President of the College was read by Mr. Azure Isaac, who doubles as the asistant registrar in the office of the president and assistant registrar in charge of business development and industrial relationon. He highligted the growth of the College in terms of its infrastructure, staff membership and student population compared to last year 2017. He clearly stated that excellent teaching, scientific research and professional training for the labour market are the core components of the institution's training programmes. The president assured students and all stakeholders that the institution wis poised to train students who are ready to find solutions to social problems by equipping them with creative and analytic skills. He called on the students to take advantage of the great learning opportunity made available and "think outside the box" in order to be fully ready for the labour market.
On his part, the Pro Vice Chancellor of the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Professor Seidu Alhassan expressed his pleasure towards the partnership between ReCAS and UDS. He emphasised that UDS will mentor the institution into an enviable one. He enjoined students to work hard in their academics and become graduates who will become job creators and not job seekers.
The dean of students initiated the oath-taking and cautioned that students should shun all forms of indiscipline and uphold the oaths sworn at the ceremony.
